Waunakee's annual duck flurry
always the first weekend after labor day
About the Furry: This two-day event is an exciting, fun, and safe way to promote clay shooting sports with your friends, family, and hunting buddies. Our goal for the event is to provide an exciting two-man “team based” hunting experience, like you would find out in the field or blind. The 5-station course offers a the chance to break 100 different aerial targets that fly through the air, at speeds and angles that replicate real game bird flight characteristics. There are seven different event “classes” offered that cater to what shotgun you choose to compete with. Our first Duck Flurry Shoot was held in 1996 with 125 shooters – in 2019, we had our best year yet and the Flurry threw 323 rounds over two days! We have a daily Grand Prize that each paid entry will be entered to win, and the drawing will be at the end of the day after shooting is complete - no need to be present to win. Each team will also receive 50 tickets at registration that can be used for the bucket raffles that are drawn daily. All prizes were made possible from our sponsors. Remember to write your shooter number on the ticket before dropping it in the bucket!
